Carbon Steel Fabricators is a leading fabricator in southern Africa and specialises in high technology welded fabrications in all carbon steel, chrome moly and other grades. The work undertaken includes reactors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, process tanks, rotary kilns and more.

Imbani Cables

Imbani Cables is a strategic investment specialising in the manufacturing and importation of high-tech cables. Important clients include Eskom and Telkom.

Tank Ends

Tank Ends is the preferred dish end manufacturer in Africa, well-known and respected as a specialist company in the industry.  Its processes and techniques have been developed over the past 40 years and the company provides over 80% of the product supplied in South Africa.

Specialised materials include titanium, aluminium, copper and specialised steels. The entire fabrication of tank ends is computer controlled with the accompanying precision manufacture.

Imbani Petroleum

Imbani Petroleum is a company that develops and refurbishes oil refineries in numerous oil-rich African countries.

Imbani Petroleum is also involved in green fields’ projects in the Republic of Congo and Gabon. The company has joint venture agreements with leading industry players including PETROSA, a state- owned South African company, and SINOPEC, a Chinese state-owned company and one of the leading petrochemical companies in China.

Imbani Petroleum continues to negotiate similar contracts in other sub-Saharan countries that are planning to reassess their refineries.

Locally, Imbani also has a wholesale licence, active in the secondary fuel and chemicals transport for the likes of Sasol, Shell, PetroSA and as a subcontractor for other companies.

We operate a fleet of highly specialised gas and fuel tankers that service a targeted client base, transporting liquid petroleum products. Imbani has partnered with Transnet pipeline and storage facilities inland, including bunkering infrastructure in the port of Ethekwini.

Diesel, Oil, Paraffin, Petroleum and Lubricants
The Imbani network extends nationally through a National Treasury contract RT70 to supply diesel, oil, petroleum and fuel, to servicing all parastatals in different provinces throughout South Africa such as the Department of Correctional Services, ERWAT (Ekurhuleni Water), Department of Home Affairs, Department of Agriculture, Department of Health, Department of Public Works, Department of Water and Sanitation, Department of Rural Development and the South African Police Service. This contract was awarded for an initial period of a five years from 2015 to 2020 and then a subsequent tender was awarded from 2021 to 2026. Imbani also supplied bowsers to the Department of Rural Development for transportation of the fuel to rural areas and installation of fuel tanks at Public Works, as well as providing a service to maintain existing fuel tanks to ensure the diesel is not contaminated.

Bunkering License
Imbani is a holder of a Bunkering License for the Ports of Ethekwini, Saldanha Bay and Gqeberha.

Transnet Pipeline
The Transnet Pipeline gives us access to fuel allocation from the importers to move product inland using Transnet storage facilities in the following areas:

Ladysmith, Newcastle, Bethlehem, Alrode, Tarlton, Watloo, Pretoria, Witbank, Rustenburg, Klerkdorp and Kroonstad.
